Biography

Susie Charlie, was born in the Athabascan village of Old Minto. She has raised ten children and three grandchildren, in addition to dedicating her time to a long and varied career and community service. She has worked as a fee agent for the Department of Health and Social Services, as a cook for the senior program, and as a cook for the Tanana Chiefs in Old Minto.

Susie enjoys singing, dancing, hunting, fishing, camping, and berry picking, in addition to traditional craftwork. She loves children and is passionate about sharing her knowledge of traditional culture and the Tanana Athabascan dialect.
